That night, I don’t dream of all of their eyes. The bright lady is back. It still doesn’t hurt for me to look at her, but I can’t see what she looks like because she is so bright. She reaches out and touches my cheek like the last time she was in my dreams. “I am glad you are finally free, and since you are, I will remove my protections. You need to learn how to harness your magic.” She disappears in front of me. I look around for all the eyes, but none comes. I feel so cold. I can feel my heartbeat slow down and I get even more cold.

I wake up and try to sit up, but two sets of arms are wrapped around my body. I try to get closer to Connor and Xanders warmth, but it feels like the cold is deep inside me. I wiggle out from under their arms. Looking around the room, I see all the other guys laying on the floor, all of them are still in their underwear. Quietly I take off my clothes until I am in my underwear too, since I didn’t change into sleep clothes. I don’t understand why the bright lady made me feel so cold. Vashu’s hands were very warm when he was rubbing my legs. I try to move like Warren told me, but as soon as I take a step on the floor, Vashu’s eyes open. I walk over to him and lie down on top of him.

“Why are you so cold, little one?” He says. I don’t know why I feel so cold. I just press myself closer to his skin. I can feel the warmth of his skin on mine, but it doesn’t help with how cold I am feeling. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me even closer to him. He starts making his sleep noises, and it makes his chest sound rumbly with my ear pressed so close to him. I can hear his heart beating in his chest as he sleeps. I focus on my heart beat as I listen to his. His heart beats seventeen times each time mine beats once. I lay on Vashu for a long time, wishing I could get warm.

When the sky starts to get bright, I wiggle out of Vashu’s arms. I stand up and wrap my arms around myself. I am still so cold. I look around the room and Rhi is sitting up, looking at me. He stands up and walks over to me, stepping over Kramylor. He moves so quietly. He picks me up and makes a hissing noise. He takes me to the bathroom and turns on the light.

“Gorgeous, you’re as cold as an ice cube. Are you feeling okay?” He squeezes me tight to him.
